So, I have SQL on my resume because ive used it in the past in Access. On the interview, they asked me a few questions like what right join is, etc. asked me to describe what a relational dabatase is, primary key, foreign key, etc
i know the basics so i obviously passed that part. But, i havent used it much in the past other than very basic statements.
The job would be a position where i would go into the database and query out ad hoc request in SQL Server. Alot of the common request are already prebuilt. The job would start in 5 weeks. Currently, just finished up a contracted position, so without income and this position is a pretty solid in at a big company.
So, my quesiton is. could i learn enough in 5 weeks to query the basic ad hoc request out of SQL Server or is this too big of a risk.

I'd take the position and fake it till you make it. Get a good SQL book and go from there.
Yeah, I'd definitely take it as well. You can just use Google while on the job to find out whatever you won't know.
