Re: New to BA world

Hi Mike,

Welcome to the Business Analysis world.  It can be scary at times to get started but it's a great career.  One thing you need to keep in mind that the business analysis standards are still very imature and they vary from company to company.

The best thing to do as a new BA is to ask the manager what they expect.  Ex: "There are many ways to create a Requirements Matrix, what exactly do you have in mind, what do you envision the end prodcut to be, who should I consult with about eliciting requirements?, etc."

If there are other analysts/peers in the organization, don't hesitate to ask them what is expected of the SA and to show you sample of previous work.

Hope this helps!

Adrian
