Introducing myself.

Hello all,

My name is Hebs and I'm a new member. I found your website from LinkedIn and have just joined. I am here because I am new to the BA world, although I have done some work in the IT field and am familiar with the requirements of a BA's position. I would like to interact with other BAs who can give me ideas on how to break into the BA job market. I am familiar with most requirement gathering principles, tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, JAD, RAD, UML, SAP etc...). But, I have no actual real world experience with Agile methodologies -- I have a high technical aptitude and I believe I will learn it quickly if I was allowed a couple of weeks for training.

I welcome any advice or ideas -- I would like learn from people who have done it before. We all have to start somewhere, right?

Thank you,

Hebs

Hi Hebs,

Welcome to the community!  It sounds like you are on the right path.

Do you currently have a job as a business or systems analyst?
