newbie BA

Hi Everyone!  I'm new to the world of BA.  I come from a software support role and with cuts in my company; I am now taking on new tasks of a BA.  I'm here to find help, search for good info and hopefully one day help another person who is currently in my shoes.

Re: newbie BA

Welcome to the BA world and to ModernAnalyst.com!  It sounds like what might look like a curse is turning out to be a blessing - the opportunity to take on a business analyst role.  Use this opportunity to ask your employer for formal business analysis training or to at least put together an learning program where you can learn from other BAs in your organization.
