BA Work

Hi

We have a sales team and they are obviously responsible for putting a proposal together and costs for pitching to potential clients.

My question is, should a BA be involved at pitch stage and what type of document should be produced (if any)?

i.e. are we supposed to be producing a scope of work or a high level requirements doc - if so what is the format? Bear in mind, we are not including costs as a BA. The sales pitch work is not at project stage so there is no PM assigned yet.
