Experience Or Not ...
I get this job emailed to me often ... Listing the jobs Requirements --- “Undergraduate degree and 2-4 years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 0-2 years relevant experience.” --- Well, I don't have either one of those degrees but I do have 30+ years experience ... I get turned down ... Hahahahah

Re: Experience Or Not ...

Hi NitwitNick,

To be honest, I would give this company a miss anyway. They are clearly trying to get cheap (non-experienced) staff, but with a compromise of having a degree. The reality is (and god knows I have hired enough people over the years), that degrees mean nothing in the real world of working. Experience is everything.

Unless a graduate can show me that they are really keen to learn, I tend to avoid them. Partly because I have bad experiences with hiring graduates - including one who thought he was interviewing for my role ! But also because they don't seem to often want to learn.  Maybe, I have just been unlucky, but I just don't have good experiences with them. Give me someone with experience any day.
