Business Systems Analyst 4 University of California
About the role:
The Business Systems Analyst 4 is a trusted business partner, providing Oracle functional expertise in Oracle business domains (FCCS and EDMCS) for clients and other staff members at UCOP and campus locations. You will coordinate with business users, ITS, and managed services partner to manage and maintain finance related systems and maintain end-to-end business process flows and conduct training as needed to support UC campuses.
How you can expect your time to be spent:
30 % Performs highly complex analysis of business and user needs. Support and train new and existing applications, including planning and execution of unit integration and acceptance testing and production support of Oracle Cloud applications.
25% Applies business process and analysis concepts, up to and including the most complex and advanced, while formulating systems scope and objectives relative to the organization's business plan and system requirements.
25% Initiates, facilitates, implements and documents work process changes.
20% Initiates, designs or modifies highly complex systems and procedures where standardized policies or procedures may or may not exist. Creates test plans and maintains script for regular Oracle updates with ITS and managed services.
What we would like to see from you:
Experience with month-end and fiscal year closing and accounting practices and standards.
Experience providing support to users and assist with troubleshooting issues, and reviewing and testing Oracle updates.
Analyze solution design and create functional specifications for enhancements based on business/functional requirements.
Partner with ITS Operations Services to support month end and year end activities in Oracle FCCS.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related area with a minimum of five years experience and / or equivalent experience / training.
Oracle certified professional
5+ of EPM Cloud
3+ years Cloud EPM FCCS
Candidate should have hands-on experience in Oracle finance cloud configurations, testing, and managing data governance using EDMC
Self-motivated and proactive with excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and team/collaboration skills that enable you to be successful both working independently with minimal supervision while ensuring your team maintains visibility and connection to the big picture
Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Interpersonal and communications skills to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.\Preferred Qualifications Advanced skills and methodologies associated with process and software design, modification and implementation.
