Summary: The College is a growing and complex organization. I/T systems are an important component in allowing the College to meet its objectives, and to function as an efficient and effective organization. The Business Analyst reviews existing procedures and workflows and identifies system functions, requirements, and procedures that improve the operation of the College. Likewise, the work of the Business Analyst allows the College to increase its program offerings while providing more effective and timely delivery of services to its constituents.

This exempt position will report to the Senior Manager, Strategic Applications in the Division of Information Technology.

Primary Responsibilities:

In partnership with the division customers, identify requirements and solutions to facilitate project goals using industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis, and functional decomposition analysis. Solicit requirements through interviews, workshops and/or existing systems documentation or procedures.

Following established project management processes and policies, implement multiple small and large software, web applications, data conversions and integrations development projects from conceptualization to launch. This includes quality assurance testing, development of UAT test plans, training, and creating system documentation.

Create and generate reports and queries using MS SQL. This may include developing both Crystal and BI reports.

Support and maintain the individual modules in the College's AMS system (membership database) identifying strengths and weaknesses and develop plans for improvement.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred, but not required.

Certified Business Analysis Professional, or ability to become certified, a plus.

2-4+ years of experience in a similar role analyzing customer requirements and developing solutions for mission critical business applications.

Experience in Aptify software (or similar association management systems) a plus.

Experience using business processing tools (examples - Visio, Lucidcharts, Jira, JAMA) desired.

Strong SQL programming skills to run queries and reports and extract project data desired.

Experience with Crystal Reports and BI reporting tools a plus.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) necessary to effectively interact with all levels of organization.

Capable of providing excellent customer service.

Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Must be able to multi-task.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Display high level of energy and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a member of a team.

Ability to plan and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.

Ability to establish strong working relationships with all division teams and management.

Physical/Work Environment: Fast paced with significant people interaction. No lifting over 20 pounds, minimal reaching bending and stooping. Performs work in a normal office environment with long hours in front of the computer.

Other Necessary Requirements: Occasional evening or weekend duties may be required for software conversions and to meet project deadlines. Miminimal travel for activities such as out of town meetings is required.
