Functional Business Process Analyst Job in San Diego, CA

The Business Process Analyst serves as an analyst and technical member of the Health Services Business Systems (HSBS) team. They will ensure timely, accurate service delivery as a liaison between the HSBS team and members of Health Services staff and IT staff through the lifecycle of business analysis, strategic planning and execution of systems and process improvements. They will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create best-in-class solutions that integrate technology, information, and business processes and matches appropriate technology solutions to business needs. This individual will identify, plan, develop, implement, and maintain business systems solutions that support Formulary and Clinical PA operational needs; they will elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. In addition, they will critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. The Business Process Analyst will perform various types of analysis related to business and system changes/enhancements (gap, impact, risk etc.), write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify business systems.



Additionally, they will develop queries to research, gather data and identify solutions, assist business owners in creating and maintaining related documentation/material pertinent to identified changes, such as work, data or process flows, analytical reports, decision support structures, use cases, as well as business rules, report design/mock-ups, etc. In addition, the Business Process Analyst will utilize planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills to ensure timely deliverables, high levels of quality, and efficient use of resources. As an integral team member, they will collaborate and cultivate positive relationships with internal and external customers through delivery of sustainable, measurable, accurate, and timely results that meet or exceed customer expectations. Also, this individual will promote continuous improvement by ensuring adherence to quality principles, seek out and actively participate in business initiatives which contribute to service excellence. The Business Process Analyst will actively participate in continued professional development to stay up to date on the latest technical and information management enhancements and data management best practices.
