Hello,
I started my career in digital marketing (post engineering in computer science) at Oracle and worked for more than 5 years. Primary goal was to incorporate best practices into the execution of marketing campaigns for Oracle Products. This included promotion of events and offers via email (B2B), banner ads, paid search, social media channels, etc. Liaised with field marketing, sales and outside agencies to ensure the messaging, branding, and targeting followed corporate guidelines as well as industry standard best practices. Generated qualified sales leads and opportunities to be pursued by regional sales teams.
Also, with thorough knowledge of workflow and reporting in the CRM systems (Siebel 8.1 and Oracle custom marketing applications), able to streamline processes by identifying gaps and inefficiencies. Also worked with business stakeholders to further develop and document internal procedures, best practices, along with the development and automation of various custom marketing reports, designed to analyze past results in order to develop more effective best practices going forward.
Currently, I'm pursuing full time MBA in Strategy and I would like to work as Business analyst/consultant in CRM. I have no formal experience as a Business Analyst, how do I pitch for a business analyst role post MBA. Although, I have no knowledge in writing UML modeling or data analysis & modeling etc., I have worked with business analysts very closely in formulating business requirement, creating test strategies, UAT and business signoff. Could you please guide me on the career transition from Digital marketing to BA in CRM.
Regards,
Souharda
