Re: How to prepare user story in agile
User story is a high level description of user action on the system to meet his requirement.  User story is written in short so that it can be covered in next iteration of Agile process. These user stories are written through out the Agile process.

For e.g.

As a administrator user, I want to take backup of the system using scheduler and ad-hoc basis to avoid any transaction/data loss.

The basic format of user story is “As a <type of user>, I want <some goal>, so that <some reason>” template.

You can maintain all these user stories in a excel template. These user stories are referred by the developer to assign points ( basically for time estimation for delivery) and tester during the testing.

Re: How to prepare user story in agile

Perhaps start with the features your stakeholders need. Prioritise them according to their value and then select the most important feature.

Break the feature down into small User stories and prioritise these. Write acceptance criteria for the user stories with your team and estimate them. They are now ready for development. Ensure that you are always working on the most valuable items first, slice your stories thinly, and work in a collaborative manner.

Good luck!
