BA: IMPORTANT BA ISSUES

Hi friends,

Well,

1. I want to find out whether the Inquestra BA certification is an industry-recognized credential or not.

2. What are the various areas of specialisation in Business Analysis

3. I intend to study Business Analysis privately (self study), then do a certification exam in Business Analysis to get a certificate.

The challenge therefore is to locate colleges or Training schools or programs that allow external private study candidates to sit for their exams online and qualify for award of relevant credential when successful...something similar to what the Rutgers Skill Center does (The Rutgers Skill Center doesn't seem to have any exams on Business Analysis though).

P.S: I will prefer IIBA endorsed training providers with college or univesity affiliation and special arrangements for successful candidates to be awarded a certificate from the university as well as the training provider.
In any case, i'm open to all suggestions.

In any case, please send your thoughts.

Thanks

Sam

Re: BA: IMPORTANT BA ISSUES

Inquestra is listed as an EEP by the IIBA.  While the IIBA has an "industry recognized credential" I am not sure the "certficate" that Inquestra offers is even close to the same thing.  It offers a business analyst certficate for completing the course and passing the tests of the course.

Once you have sufficient BA related experience you can then re-fresh your BABOK and sit for that exam.
