Hello,
Does anyone recommend a good freeware tool to use for an Agile's product backlog? I know that in most cases the Project Manager is responsible for the product backlog, but in my case, I am responsible for it. Currently, we are using an Excel spreadsheet, which I actually like, but my project manager does not. I have googled and found a lot of tool choices, but most of them are not free, and I'd like to see if there is a preferred tool out there used by BAs.
Thanks for the help,
T Sawyer
Hi,
Trello is a free tool that is great for all kind of planning and tracking. It was created around the concept of "Cards" and "Lists" so I think they had agile in mind. But it's very flexible.
Also, I've used PivotalTracker. I can't remember if it's free. I think there is a cost but it's quite low.
Couple of others besides Chris's suggestions.
Do you have Jira or sharepoint where you work? They'll do it. Not free but if your company already has them. Jira has an agile / scrum add-in

Rally (rally.com) will allow you to have one project for free, including backlog. Also, you can always go low-tech and use index cards for your backlog. Not free, but very cheap. If you have SharePoint, you could use a SharePoint list.
