Starting this thread to discuss the Business Analyst and project manager role which BA's need to play and their challenges.
1. I have played roles where I have to do Business Analysis and also manage project without the official title of project manager.
2. We need to manage estimation, time lines, status reports from Development and Quality assurance teams.
3. Prepare progress charts / Burn down charts.
4. Report Risk/ Mitigation etc
5. Liaising among different teams.
Etc.

Challenge: I am facing challenge managing liaising function.
It goes like I need to get information from different upstream and downstream teams. Now one of the downstream team is very uncooperative.
The Technical lead is the senior guy who has spent most time in project and has knowledge.
His manager is not concerned and would not respond.
The BA from his team is a novice with no exposure. Now me not being the Tech leads direct manager or he not having any obligation to oblige to my requests he plays it hard.
IS reluctant to share information. and not cooperating.
Can others share similar experiences and how they deal with it?
