Hi Everyone
I have recently started mr first business analyst role. Having studied information systems I am no stranger to requirements specifications, I am however very rusty due to the fact I finished my degree 4 years ago and have not used it since!
I am in the middle of a class diagram and have the situation where:
I have a User class and there are three Classes that inherit the user class attributes
One of the classes that inherits the user classe, which i will call manager class for ease, will also be reponsible for managing the other inherited user classes accesses.
Would it be sufficient to place +manageUserAccess () in the operation area in the manager class? how would I link this to the other user classes?
Any hellp anyone can give would be appreciated.
Is anyone able to provide any insight?
If I've not been very clear please let me know and I will rephrase what I am asking
Thank you
Hi Sheri,
I don't really deal with the methods when I do class diagrams but if the three user classes inherit from the manager class, then they will inherit its atributes and its methods i.e. they will have their own instances of the manageUserAccess () method that you can then modify if required for that particular class. Does that help? I see you posted this a while ago so you've probably worked it out already anyway.

Hi Kimbo
Thank you for replying.
I have worked the solution into my use case diagram rather than the class diagram. I think this is how I should have done it to start with. As I said I'm a bit rusty but am really enjoying getting my teeth sunk into information systems again.
Thank you for the help.
