Watermark Learning’s Project R.E.A.L. Receives 2011
PMI Continuing Professional Education Product of the Year Award
Minneapolis, MN October 24, 2011 — The Project Management Institute (PMI®) announced that it has honored Watermark Learning with a 2011 PMI Continuing Professional Education Product of the Year Award in the Individual/Business Product Category, for its Project R.E.A.L. training. Watermark Learning’s product was selected as the award recipient from numerous submissions received from around the world. The award was presented during PMI’s annual Awards Ceremony on Saturday, October 22 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center.
The Project R. E. A. L. (Real Experience; Applied Learning) live training exemplifies exceptional professional development instruction for project practitioners. Project R. E. A. L. wasdesigned for both Project Management and Business Analysis professionals. This advanced course expands on students’ previous learning and job experience in a robust, dynamic, and fast-paced environment using a hands-on, live project simulation.
“Watermark Learning is proud to be the recipient of this prestigious award,” said Elizabeth Larson, CEO of Watermark Learning. “Project R.E.A.L. teaches students how to lead and make the tough decisions in moments of difficulty. The course shares real life success stories and failures that help guide students through both the Project R.E.A.L. course and their real-world jobs,” she added.
Project R.E.A.L. is guided by an experienced facilitator with extensive background in Project Management and Business Analysis. Students are immersed in more than just a simulation, and allowed to expand on previous learning and job experience where they are prepared to handle obstacles that may impede project success.
Participants experience the pitfalls, roadblocks, curveballs, successes, and celebrations that happen on every project as part of a working team in a live, interactive, and safe environment. Structured flexibility is built into the course utilizing an outline combined with guidance from the facilitator and the overall approach of the project chosen by the students.
