Faculty Training Institute, leading training provider of Business Analysis qualifications in South Africa, is pleased to announce the endorsement by International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) of its Certificate Programme in Business Analysis. FTI is the only Endorsed Education Provider (EEP®) with Charter status in South Africa.
The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) is a professional body dedicated to the development and maintenance of standards for the practice of Business Analysis, and for the certification and recognition of practitioners. On a recent visit to South Africa, President and CEO of the IIBA®, Kathleen Barrett, addressed Business Analysts on the importance of an accreditation programme for Business Analysts and stressed the IIBA’s commitment to ensuring effective contributions are made by the profession through the formalisation of standards and implementation of a certification programme for qualified practitioners known as CBAP®.
The Certificate Programme in Business Analysis offered by FTI carries a CDU rating of 99 which may be claimed when applying to write the CBAP® certification. More that 100 delegates from leading companies have completed the inaugural Certificate programmes hosted last year.
The course comprises the theoretical component of FTI’s landmark Diploma in Business Analysis. The Diploma in Business Analysis carries a CDU rating of 150 towards CBAP®. “The Certificate programme, which follows the same rich, intensive learning methodology as the Diploma, was originally launched to fill the growing needs of entry level business analysts who were not yet eligible for the Diploma, usually because they were not able to gain access to workplace projects that the senior programme requires” says Steve Erlank, MD of FTI.
The endorsement from the IIBA of FTI’s Business Analysis part time programmes and their respective CDU ratings provides delegates with the assurance that the content of the 4-month certificate and the 6-month Diploma programmes covers much of the content of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK®) and is compliant with version 2.0, released earlier this year.
