If I were to only pick the top three most used (aka useful) UML diagrams for the systems analyst (or even business analyst) they would be:

* Class Diagram:
Because allows the analyst to model the relationships between things either at the business domain level or the logical system level (functional specifications).

* Activity Diagram:
Because it allows the analyst to model the flow/steps of a given business process or use case (though I prefer a BPMN diagram over the UML activity diagram).

* Sequence Diagram:
Because it allows the analyst to show how objects, components, things, etc., interact with each other over time to achieve a given business or system scenario.

Do your homework prior to the business analysis interview!

Having an idea of the type of questions you might be asked during a business analyst interview will not only give you confidence but it will also help you to formulate your thoughts and to be better prepared to answer the interview questions you might get during the interview for a business analyst position.  Of course, just memorizing a list of business analyst interview questions will not make you a great business analyst but it might just help you get that next job.
