ANSWER

Be prepared with some real-world experience to share (be sure to honor any NDAs of your previous team or company) in which you analyzed and documented the solution to a complex requirement. As you know, sometimes a one-line descriptive business need can turn into a project that needs to run for many months or even more than a year! Be sure to identify the techniques used and types of documentation you provided.

Here is a related question - What techniques have you used to elicit business requirements - that can help with your interview prep.

@houser I tend to agree with you. Any thoughts as to what a good answer might look like for the "how to break down a very complex requirement" question?

Do your homework prior to the business analysis interview!

Having an idea of the type of questions you might be asked during a business analyst interview will not only give you confidence but it will also help you to formulate your thoughts and to be better prepared to answer the interview questions you might get during the interview for a business analyst position.  Of course, just memorizing a list of business analyst interview questions will not make you a great business analyst but it might just help you get that next job.
