Hello guys,
I am a senior business analyst and was wondering if I could get some help with my resume. I've read through some of the articles on the website and have found them immensely helpful. I've always been fortunate that a resume of 3-4 pages has gotten the job done until now. I was wondering if some of the senior business analysts on the forum could post their resumes (5-10 years of experience) and show me how they limit it to 1-2 pages while hitting all the key words and converying everything necessary. I would be eternally grateful.
Thank you so much
Hello,
As you have noticed, for someone to post his / her resume would be a very difficult proposition.
There is no right or wrong when it comes to your resume. Each individual, be it a recruiter or a hiring manager would have a different perspective. One may just want to skim your resume my finding keywords from what is required for the role and another person may actually go through your entire resume. It also depends on the number of resumes they receive for the role. In essence, I reckon that the resume should not be more than 3 to 4 pages. If you are an individual with rich experience, concentrate on your most recent roles and explain how you helped the organization achieve its goals. If you can quantify your achievements, that would be great; however, the intangible achievements also don't go unnoticed. Read the job description carefully before applying for the role and make necessary adjustments to highlight your relevant experience conducive to the role requirement.
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
Hims
