Find Problems before they occur with Machine Learning and Analytics

Modern Analyst Webinar

When & Where

Thursday, October 13, 2022 @ 11:00
(PST Pacific Standard Time GMT-8:00)

Virtual

Description

We all would love to be more proactive and anticipate problems so that we can take steps to solve them before they occur (if indeed, it is possible to solve a problem before it is one). While there are people who seem to have a knack for predicting, especially problems, few of us have trained with Nostradamus and learned the art of prognostication.

We do have, however, some tools that will provide some direction if not some actual answers. Predictive analytics, diagnostic analytics and prescriptive analytics coupled with machine learning technology can go a long way to predicting problems and suggesting solutions, which in many cases is simply taking actions to avoid the problem in the first place.

This webinar addresses project managers, business analysts and other non-data scientists and non-developers and provides guidance as to how machine learning and analytics can provide some insight into the future of your projects and products provided the right questions are asked. It will also address the issue of asking the right questions.

Create an Efficient Process-Oriented Enterprise Using a Process Knowledge Base

Processes – the heart of getting work done. Drawing business process diagrams is the easy part. Making sure that they provide value across the enterprise, that people use them, users understand them, and managers can manage them – that’s a different story.

This seminar will show you:
• How, in easy steps, build a knowledge base that supports people at all levels get their job done, and done well.
• How to create process diagrams quickly and easily
• How to leverage existing information assets and business objects
• How to work collaboratively across all disciplines within the enterprise.
• How to contextualize processes with capabilities, supporting technologies, and value streams
• How to perform root cause analysis using the contextualized representations and identify areas for immediate improvement and quick wins.
This seminar will demonstrate that connections are important:
• A Process Definition has little value unless it is connected with capabilities, supporting technologies, and so on.
• A Value Stream definition is pretty useless without links to the components that make it happen.
• Technology can be an expensive problem unless it is linked to strategy and process.
We will show you how to visualize an entire enterprise in a way that is meaningful to all levels and will help you to mature your organization into an exemplar of best practice, in easy low-cost steps.

Managing Change in Your Project's Requirements

A typical project has multiple stakeholders working on interrelated requirements. As the Greek philosopher Heraclitus noted, 'Change is the only constant'. As a business analyst, process owner, and project manager, you need to understand how to manage change in your project.

To be successful, you will need to do the following:
1. Control who can initiate the change
2. Define a process for change propagation
3. Define a process for approval of the change
4. View and manage the impact of the change
5. Ensure that the change has been viewed and internalized by all the impacted stakeholders
6. Record and audit the change history

The following industry-standard processes help manage these tasks:
• Folders, Users, Roles, and Permissions
• Traceability
• Dangling, Orphan, Suspect Upstream and Suspect Downstream requirements
• Trace Matrix, Trace Tree, and Change Impact analysis views
• Approval Workflow
• Versioning and Audit Trail

Register today and join us on the live webinar to see how you can equip yourself with industry best practices to manage change in your projects.
