Another Source’s client, UCLA, is recruiting a Card Access IT Specialist to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. (Internally this position is titled Transact & Door Access Management Analyst)
This role is a hybrid role, working on campus 2-4 days each week.

About the role:
Under the general direction of the BruinCard Supervisor, the incumbent administers the BruinCard Door Reader program for over 1200 active door readers, executing end-to-end process of door access configuration within the Transact system and liaises with campus partners to on-board new departments. Independently creates tickets via Service Now for technical troubleshooting and ensures door reader issues are completed within service guarantee time-frame. Generates metrics for management on all door reader activity.
You will serve as the primary contact for inquiries related to the use of Transact system and related data. Autonomously works with campus departments to understand business use cases, generate requirements and present to management proposed uses of system. Liaise with BruinCard IT to execute changes upon approval. Coordinates annual Transact system upgrade, monitoring release notes and ensuring system is operating efficiently. Organizes and prioritizes service requests with support from BruinCard Supervisor.
You will also provide support to customer service and card production by ensuring card production software is operating efficiently and services customer inquiries and produce cards as needed under the direction of the BruinCard Supervisor.

Anticipated Salary Range: $66,000 – 69,000 per year, commensurate with experience

What we would like to see from you:
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively and professionally with students, colleagues, departments, and vendors through various modes of communication. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills to prepare grammatically correct business correspondence, emails, and reports; and to speak before a small group or on a one-to-one basis to convey complex door access information. Ability to independently prioritize tasks, organize complex workload to successfully accomplish objectives in a timely manner, multitask, take independent initiative, and operate at high level of efficiency and accuracy in demanding and changing circumstances. Demonstrated skill in using personal computer business software in Microsoft Office suite to generate spreadsheets, presentations, schedules, queries, memorandums, and forms. Demonstrated skill in card production and door access management software with ability to troubleshoot system issues and accurately input configurations based on business needs. Demonstrated ability to work with technical staff to participate in system testing, monitoring, and maintenance. Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to resolve discrepancies related to door access and card transactions. Ability to maintain confidential records and strictly confidential information, and exercise good judgment.
