Your Contribution

The Senior Marketing & Sales Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting marketing and sales related performance information with a mission to deliver reliable and actionable insights.

This is an exciting and ambitious role for a collaborative, data-driven analyst with an assertive spirit and a background in both marketing and sales analytics. Teledyne FLIR currently operates robust marketing and sales reporting systems with plans to further optimize and expand upon these systems with the help of this new role.

Your Job in Plain Text

Provide reports, analyses and actionable insights –

- Generate in-depth analyses and reporting based on multiple data sources to measure the effectiveness of marketing and sales efforts in a multi-divisional global environment
- Develop, maintain, and present dashboards, reports, and analysis to track sales and marketing performance to plan, incentives, inventory, and backlog reporting, campaign performance and conversion, attribution and predictive modeling, close-loop reporting, and deep-dive business analysis
- Produce custom metrics, variables, tracking and reporting setup, data flows, and queries to tie marketing and sales activities back to attributed revenue
- Act as point person for all sales/financial analytics questions and requests

Help enhance reporting across multiple business units –

- Help maintain internal procedures and documentation that facilitate analytics and reporting standards for the Marketing and Sales organizations
- Manage updates in analytics platforms (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, SAP, Data Warehouse, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Marketo) and provide training to other team members
- Carry out quality control and troubleshooting of data, data flow, reports, scripts, and queries across multiple platforms, data sources, and reports
- Coordinate with vendors, agencies, and internal teams for ongoing consultation and optimization of data, reporting and analytics

Additional areas of responsibility –

- Provide support and mentorship to Marketing Automation Analyst on data, analytics and reporting design and implementation, as well as QA activities to ensure data accuracy
- Regularly research new tools, technologies and strategies designed to further optimize marketing and sales-related data governance, data flow, analytics and performance reporting

To be ready to take on this role, we would love if you had the following:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in analytics and reporting functions within enterprise-scale environments (both B2B and B2C experience preferred)
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in marketing and sales analytics or equivalent certifications and training
- Hands-on experience with data manipulation, models, structure, and normalization, ETL workflows, as well as relational database concepts (including SQL querying and DAX Data Analysis Expressions)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, SAP and data warehouse platforms
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, communication, and project management skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and efficiently
- Experience with marketing automation platforms/data a plus
- Basic knowledge of Google Analytics/Tag Manager, Google Cloud Console/Big Query, HTML, and JavaScript a plus
