ENTERPRISE APPLICATION SERVICES BUSINESS ANALYST Job in Ithaca, NY
The department of Enterprise Application Services within Ithaca College's Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) invites applications for a Business Analyst position to collaborate with departments across campus to identify, define and document business requirements as part of Enterprise Application Services (EAS) solution development and integration efforts; translate Business Requirements into technical definitions which can be used for implementing a solution to meet business needs; Perform system, application and data analysis as required; work with EAS architects, developers and other staff on implementation efforts; assist with Integration and Acceptance Testing, supporting the development of training and implementation material, participating in the solution implementation, and providing post-implementation support. The BA will be expected to develop and maintain a broad knowledge of administrative functions and systems across the college to make the requirements definition process effective and efficient.

Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business management, computer science or a related field and a minimum of 3 years analytical experience in developing, implementing, maintaining and upgrading complex systems; three years successful experience working with business analysis, process mapping and solution design of complex systems and processes; strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements; excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts; proven ability to function independently and as part of a team; track record for service orientation, initiative and organizational commitment required. Experience working in a higher education environment and a strong understanding and working knowledge of the Business Analyst Book Of Knowledge 6 knowledge areas preferred.
