Video: Business Analysis and User Experience Activities

This is a great presentation covering business analysis and UX activities and how the two distinct yet overlapping disciplines related to each other and cannot be split.

Free one hour education in business analysis & UX design.

During the Opencast Matterhorn Leadership and Planning Meeting, Allison Bloodworth and Judy Stern of UC Berkeley Educational Technology Services provided an overview of the Business Analysis and User Experience roles and processes. The Matterhorn BA/U Team was proposed as a unified team working together as a cross-project resource to help the Matterhorn team understand & design for user and business needs that will be more likely to be adopted and used successfully. For more information about this meeting, and to view the presentation, visit www.opencastproject.org

I'm sorry but this ridiculous. Don't we have enough stating the absurdly obvious and trying to make something sound 100 times more complex than it really is? And don't get me started on trying to give something validity by assigning it an acronym. Pardon me while I tear my eyes out.

It'd be like me saying this:

Hey I have a new FOOD METHODLOGY: it's called "EX" (Eating Experience) ! ta daa!

The way it works is that the "eater," which can be a man or woman (technically also an animal or any living thing really, but we will "limit our scope" to humans) takes in "food," which I have a 5 page definition of to provide later, and implements the sub-set methodology called "CAS" (Chewing and Swallowing), and............

.......and round and round we go.

I'm sorry but give me a break. If I was in this meeting I would have barely stifled a laugh and walked out after that first silly slide. These people missed their calling as civil servants for the government.

I have to agree with sierra. This is the longest tautology I've ever "experienced."
