Increase Earning Potential $ as a Business Systems Analyst

Hi everybody,

I don't know about you, but I'm always trying to think of ways to increase my earning potential as a Business Systems Analyst. I have some thoughts of my own that I wouldn't mind discussing with others in this forum. Meanwhile, can any of you provide some advice from you work experiences? Think back to a one or two year period where you your salary increased dramatically. Was there something that caused such a large bump? A new set of skills? A "perfect" position? What was the catalyst? What really drives salary increases in our field?
