Hi Olnim-
The link didnt work for me. Anyways- usually the insurance company you will work for will give you a basic tutorial on HIPAA. You really dont need to know a lot about it. It is kinda like, lets see, EEo act which applies in every org but you dont necessarily have to use it but everyone needs to know about it. HIPAA is like that. It is the health Iinsurance privacy and portability act (not sure if this is exactly right) so basically these are the members privacy act that you will not disclose the classified info and such. Its not a biggie really. They will give you the basic tutorial and if they dont, when you wiki HIPAA, the amountof info you get in the blogs should be more than enough.
There are almost 10-15 forms like 835 that the insurance uses. You will learn it in your day day job function. Again if you have told the company that you have never worked on insurance industry, they wont expect you to know all this.
So as long as you are good with RUP and UML, these things you will learn as your everyday job functionality.
Hope this helps. Not trying to scare you.
Good Luck!
