Agile Project Manager Job in Columbus, Ohio

Responsibilities include:
• Performing agile project management activities including planning, execution, tracking and reporting
• Developing metrics and reporting team status to various stakeholders, including IT and Program management
• Coordinating software deployments and ensuring compliance with change control procedures
• Working as a Scrum Master, conducting and effectively participating in sprint planning, task estimating and sequencing, spring reviews and retrospectives
• Supporting team in making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition
• Participating proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
• Cultivating robust and sustainable working relationships between business and technology teams to foster a cross-functional team environment, and facilitating discussions and conflict resolution as necessary
• Monitoring, tracking and reporting on project schedules and costs, including the management of all outsourced work, consultants, vendors and relationships
• Adhering to internal review processes and technical standards
• Representing the IT department in coordination with other departments
• Developing and maintaining a thorough knowledge of business processes supported by software systems
• Documenting business requirements when necessary, as well as the participation in requirements reviews, design reviews and change control activities
• Assisting in creation of test plans, requirements, scenarios, and data to be used for functional and systems testing of the new and existing
• software systems developed and maintained by the team, performing these tests, and ensuring that test plans and scenarios fully exercise every aspect of the product
• Other duties, as assigned
About You:
• have 3 to 5 years of professional experience as Scrum Master and/or PM in an Agile environment
• have gained 6 to 8 years of experience completing similar duties as outlined above
• have 6 to 8 years of demonstrated experience with increasingly complex software development initiatives
• have 3 to 5 years demonstrated experience managing contractors, consultant and/or vendors
• have 2 to 3 years of hands-on software QA/QC testing, requirements analysis and technical documentation
• have 2 to 3 years with testing and configuration management tools
• possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and/or university (Computer Science, Information Technology)
• organizational skills are second to none, allowing for efficient project management and decision making
• are a “team player,” and have no issue working in a collaborative environment
• are an expert presenter, and deliver information in a concise, understandable manner
• are a master communicator, using verbal and written communication to mobilize cross-functional teams
• constantly look for opportunities to improve existing processes and optimize work functions

The following skills are desired:
• have acquired a Project Management and/or a Scrum certification
• are proficient with best practice software application development lifecycle tools and techniques
• previously executed a software development process improvement initiative
• know how to analyze and report data, potentially using SQL queries to generate information
• previously developed software
