Answer:

8 Omega a business change framework conceived to aid organizations in the transformation and improvement of their business processes.  8-Omega addresses 4 key perspectives:

  • Strategy
  • People
  • Process
  • Technology

While 8-Omega considers technology as a key perspective, it also ensures that technology is not overemphasized within business process transformation by considering it within the context of the other 3 perspectives.
Additionally, 8-Omega transitions through 8 stages or lifecycle phases, hence its name.  Each of the 4 key perspectives is considered throughout every stage or lifecycle phase.  These phases are:

  • Discover
  • Analyze
  • Design
  • Integrate
  • Implement
  • Manage
  • Control
  • Improve

For those analysts that are familiar with the 5 DMAIC phases of Six Sigma, these phases will look similar.  That’s not a big surprise since both are frameworks or methodologies for improving and designing better processes.
